2025
TheVenti is a value-focused Korean coffee chain known for generous, large-size drinks at everyday-friendly prices. In 2025, it made its first international debut in Vancouver Canada.
The Initiative
TheVenti opened a shop near me and being the avid coffee drinker, I had to give it a visit. And one visit turned into a weekly ritual. Soon enough, in the span of a few weeks, I had even become friends with the owner.
One day, just chit-chatting, we talked about graphic design and the branding of the coffee shop.
It was then that I noticed that the art direction for TheVenti's North American franchises is a little outdated compared to current trends.
As a matter of fact, upon further research, I discovered that there is a discrepancy in the aesthetics of the marketing materials between their Korean franchises & the North American ones
Hence why I decided to take matters into my own hands to re-design their print-work, into something that is more aligned with their Korean counterpart as well as current beverage & K-Pop trends.
My Approach
Currently, TheVenti is using a sleek & minimal look for their North American franchises.
For my re-design, I intend to establish an aesthetic that is round & fuzzy, with an emphasis on the use of gradients and a grainy finish.
Typface
Keeping the working sub-header and body font the same but introducing the use of a new H1 typeface, in a rounded graffiti style.
THE BROWN FOX
JUMPS OVER
THE LAZY DOG
Defining the styling of the new header with the usage of inner & drop shadows to create a more 3D look following recent design trends
Additional Styles
Using rounded rectangles when displaying or highlighting ingredients.
With a 12 pt radius when designing card layouts.
